Tips and services

• If you make use of a wheelcair or you have difficulty walking, we recommend you do not travel on the MS Midsland. E.g. mobility scooters cannot be boarded on this ship. MS Friesland, MS Vlieland, MS Willem de Vlamingh and MS Willem Barentsz, however, have excellent facilities. Also our fast ferry services offer all comfort to disabled travellers. During the reservation process you can see which ship sails at which departure time.
• Wheelchairs are present in all the terminals; you can borrow these for easy embarkation.
• Disabled passengers who find it difficult to travel in a crowded lounge can make use of a separate area aboard the ferry (rest room, sick bay) in consultation with the purser.
• Disabled toilet facilities are present on all ships and in all terminals.
• Assistance dogs can be taken aboard free of charge.
• Escorts are allowed to travel free of charge on showing a Public-Transport-Escort pass. You will book and pay for a ticket online or by telephone. On your travelling date you will get a refund of the amount paid at the service desk on showing your Public-Transport-Escort pass. Escorts do not travel free of charge on the fast ferry, but they only pay the fast ferry surcharge. If MS Friesland and MS Vlieland are in dry dock, the surcharge is waived.
