Cycling to Terschelling or Vlieland

Would you like to take your own bike onto the ferry? Between Harlingen and Terschelling and back again and Harlingen and Vlieland and back again, this can only be done on the regular ferry. You cannot take bicycles on the fast ferry on these routes. Between Terscelling and Vlieland a limited number of bikes can be transported on the fast ferry.

Folding bike

Taking a folding bike, when it has been folded into a small package, is possible both aboard the regular ferry and the fast ferry. This does not involve any charges.

To make sure the embarkation proceeds as pleasantly and quickly as possible, we have the following recommendations:

Make sure you are present in the terminal at least 30 minutes prior to the departure time.
In Harlingen you will use the separate bicycle access point as a cyclist.
Your ticket will be scanned manually by one of our employees.
Your luggage can be left on the luggage carrier of your bicycle and need not be loaded onto a luggage cart.
You will park your bike according to the instructions given by our employee aboard ship. Be careful of other bikes and parked cars.

Charging e-bikes
Due to safety regulations, it is not allowed to charge electric bicycles on board. This applies to all e-bike batteries.
